To be totally honest, I wanted to merge two dreams. I used to buy and sell antique furniture with my husband to pay for our music ministry. I enjoyed the whole experience! Now that my dream has shifted to helping animals I wanted to try that concept again. I wanted to take the sale from vintage treasures to help pay for the animal “treasures” that God has put in our care. Now when someone buys a vase, a piece of art, or a furniture piece from me they can know that they are helping an animal in need.

Honestly, the costs are probably way higher than you think! Last year, the vet bills alone cost over $12,000 and that is just visits, meds, surgeries, trimmings, etc.

The other costs each month include food for over 60 animals (largest cost), straw and shavings for the coop and outdoor runs, fly masks, wormers and misc.

Since I am trying to cover some of those costs I will actually be giving more concrete numbers over the next few months. I am about to start a facebook page/group where I will give those more detailed figures.

In my online store I might be able to give even more detailed info. For example, I might say this vase will purchase one box of litter or this furniture piece will pay for 2 bags of Triple Crown Senior feed for the horses. ($32.00 a bag)

We would love to help more animals. We would even love to expand what type of animal we can take in. But to do that I need to help cover their care. My husband works a full time job and currently covers all of the expenses. I want to contribute and honestly cover it all! So ultimately, the better I do, the more animals we can help.

Yes they are! None of them are ever caged on our property. We have about 150 wild Canada geese come and go from our property most days. I was also given permission to be a drop off location for Canada Geese with Angel Wing a few years ago. They are the reason we started Angel’s Pond in the first place.

The honest answer is you can, but we might not be able to help. At this time, we are trying to only take in new geese or ducks. They are the lowest cost that we can safely take on without breaking the budget. We are having new fencing put in this year so we can possibly help some mini animals or other livestock in the future, but I will need to start help covering our current costs before doing so.
