A couple years ago a neighbor stopped by our barn to see if we could take on 6 young kittens. She said her sister was about to drown them because she couldn’t afford their upkeep. Charlie and Blue were two of those kittens. Russell and I went to meet them and found all of them them in rough shape especially their momma, Annabelle, who was skin and bones. We brought them all back to our barn and began the process of getting them vetted. (wormed, flea meds, antibiotics, food, snap tests, and eventually spayed. I was able to find homes for almost all of the babies and eventually Annabelle but two were left, our sweet Charlie and Blue. After much begging, Russell finally agree to allow them to live with us. :-) Now they are his favorite boys.

Charlie is on a specialty Hill’s Diet for his kidneys which all our boys now eat. He also has regular vet checks, litter and wet food.

Chaplin came to us at around 10 weeks old. Our neighbor found him hiding in a tree stump in our yard. They asked if we could help him and we couldn’t say no! Chappy was malnourished and had some upper respiratory issues. He was not feral yet so it was easy to win him over and he us. At the time we were not expecting to have another indoor cat but Russell soon approved. He has the most lovey personality but is also our little terror. :-) He loves to shred paper, napkins and toilet paper.

His upkeep each month is food, litter and vet checks. Oh…and toilet paper since we have to throw out rolls he has shredded every week.

Our sweet senior girl is 15 years old. She has been with us through 5 moves, made it through mammary surgery, liver issues, allergies, and more. Unfortunately she currently has kidney disease and we are not sure how much longer she will be with us, but we will continue to care and love on her until she is ready to go. She is my precious girl who sleeps by my side every night. She is my absolute favorite animal out of the 60 plus we have here at Angel’s Pond. (followed very closely by Angel.) You could probably say we should have named our Sanctuary “Evie’s Home” :-)

Panda is one of our barn cat cuties! He is approximately 5 years old and definitely needs an indoor life. He was once feral and part of a huge hoarding case. When the owner of the house died, a kind rescuer started trapping all of the cats left behind. Panda was just one of them. He has outdoor allergies and now that he is used to humans we would love to get him an indoor home. He is bonded to Ezekiel who came to us at the same time. They would love to go together, but it’s okay if they have to go separate. He does prefer to be around other cats. He is now spayed, on monthly nexguard treatments, tested negative for FIV/FELV, and has had his vaccinations.

His upkeep each month is food, litter, vet checks, allergy supplements, and $25.00 nexguard treatments.

Sibi is our sweet feral girl. She actually showed up at our barn and started hanging around back in 2024. We started feeding her and I began trying to win her over. Then a tornado hit our town and Sibi brought 3 kittens (that we had no idea existed) to our barn. We caught them all and began the vetting process. Eventually we got all fixed and most adopted out into loving homes.

Sibi still won’t let us pet her and unfortunately prefers the life of a feral cat. I keep praying we will one day win her over, but if not, she always will be fed and have a home in our barn.

Ezekiel is our other barn cat cutie! He is approximately 10 months old and definitely needs an indoor life as well. He was once feral and lived under a cafe porch in our small town. When I caught him he was skinny and afraid of humans. He still hisses every now and then but he always loves the attention once he gets the first pet. He is a true sweetie! He is bonded to Panda who came to us at the same time. They would love to go together, but it’s okay if they have to go separate. He does prefer to have a “siblling”. He is now spayed, on monthly nexguard treatments, tested negative for FIV/FELV, and has had his yearly vaccinations.

His upkeep each month is food, litter, vet checks, allergy supplements, and $25.00 nexguard treatments.
